Dr. Marcella is an internationally recognized public speaker, researcher, workshop and seminar leader with over 30 years of experience in IT audit, security and assessing internal controls, and an author of numerous articles and 25 books on various IT, audit and security related subjects.
Dr. Marcella’s articles on cyber extortion, workplace violence, Electronic Stored Information (ESI), privacy risks in multifunctional devices (MFDs), cyber forensics, incident management planning and ethics have appeared in the ISACA Journal, Disaster Recovery Journal, Journal of Forensic & Investigative Accounting, EDPACS, ISSA Journal, Continuity Insights, and the Internal Auditor Magazine.
Dr. Marcella is the Institute of Internal Auditors Leon R. Radde Educator of the Year, 2000, Award recipient. Dr. Marcella has taught IT audit seminar courses for the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), continues to teach for the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA), and has been recognized by the IIA as a Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Member. Dr. Marcella is also the 2016 recipient of the Information Systems Security Association Security Professional of the Year.

Deb is the President of SMB Value Partners and founded the organization after spending the majority of her career in leadership roles in strategic marketing, sales management, business development and strategic planning. She has worked for Fortune 200 corporations including Cummins Engine (industrial manufacturing / distribution), Grainger (industrial distribution), Citicorp (financial services), Baxter (healthcare), and RRDonnelley (digital marketing). In addition to her significant B2B and B2C corporate experience, Deb has most recently held Director, Executive Director and CMO roles in not-for-profit organizations in the association management, healthcare, business trade and technology industries. Deb is certified in Organizational Leadership (Northwestern University) and Business Intelligence / Data Analytics (Johns Hopkins University). Jim Scarlata, COO
Jim is the COO of SMB Value Partners and has over 20 years of progressively responsible marketing and sales experience with companies selling consumer, B2B, B2C and not-for-profit products and services. He has held senior positions for top corporations including Motorola, ADP and Ameritech (telecommunications), Knaack (division of Emerson Electric), Widen Enterprises (#1 provider of Saas cloud-based digital asset management systems), and Zenith Electronics (consumer goods). In addition to Jim’s corporate experience, he has held marketing management roles in not-for-profit organizations. He specializes in market intelligence, research, portfolio and brand management, sales and operations planning, and marketing communications. Charlie Dietz, CIO
Charlie is the CIO of SMB Value Partners. He is an analytical, collaborative IT leader with a diverse background in delivering Manufacturing, Supply Chain / Distribution, and Financial solutions in both SMB and Fortune 1000 companies. He has held technology leadership roles for INFOR, SSA Global and Computer Associates (applications software), EKCO Group and Zenith Electronics (consumer goods), Baxter (healthcare), Cummins Engine Company (industrial products manufacturing / distribution), and has worked with clients in the chemical, food and defense industries ( IT professional services ). Charlie is experienced with eight different Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and several Supply Chain Planning and Execution systems. Charlie has a BME degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville, KY. |
